I was just sitting around thinking about you Canadians who seem to be posting a lot in recent minutes. Since I have you all gathered here, I'd like to ask, what are the great Canadian-made cars? The only one I can think of is the awesome Bricklin SV-1. Anything else out there? And please refrain from posting cars from American marques unless they are Canada-only creations. Cheers!

The Terradyne RPV looks like a movie prop which is pretty cool.

You too can be Pléthored by Canada's supercar.

Canadians made a lot of American staples.
Take the panther for example.

I think you have to go back many decades to find truly unique Canadian cars other than the Bricklin. Other than that, I can only think of unique versions of similar cars sold elsewhere. For instance, Canadian GM was putting Chevy engines in Pontiacs, Olds and Buicks as early as the '60s.
My pick:
Acura 1.6 EL
Acura 1.7 EL
and Acura CSX
Yes, they're badge-engineered Civics, but they (and their Honda counterparts) were assembled in Ontario.

I can never find the reference when I need it, but I read or heard somewhere that the Panther was the most Canadian cars made at the time (or ever?) based on the amount of Canadian-manufactured parts in addition to its assembly here in Canada.

What in the hell? Is that some weird version of a Geo Storm?

That photo is actually of an Isuzu Impulse, but the Asüna Sunfire was a rebadged Impulse. Like, literally, the only real difference is the emblems.
Here's an Asüna Sunfire:
Isuzu Impulse:
The Geo Storm is based off of the Impulse, with a bit different styling. We didn't get the Geo brand in Canada for a few years after the U.S.

despite being Canadian, I don't know many Canadian built and sold cars. But I know car exclsuive to Canadian Market, like the Mercedes B-class, Acura EL/CSX, etc.
Ford Edge is only built in Canada, so I guess it is Canadian. Same goes for the Chrysler van family.
We also had Asuna and Passport. Both Canadian-exclusive brands that sold Daewoos and Opels.
^ Asuna GT, Daewoo LeMans
^ Asuna Sunrunner (Geo/Chevrolet/GMC Tracker)
^ Asuna Sunfire (Isuzu Piazza/Isuzu Impulse)

Another relatively famous Canadian-only variant, the Mercury M-Series, like this casually-parked M-150 with the wrong flag on it:

Woops, Thanks for pointing that out, did not see the little "Impulse" badge

Id like to contribute another car, perhaps one of the most well known (atleast in Canada)
The Acadian, Based off the Chevy II so Pontiac/Buick dealers had a compact to sell, Pretty much the same thing as Asuna, just 25 years earlier:

There was also the Asuna SunRunner .. a rebadged Tracker/Suzuki jeep as well

Yep, and the SE/GT, based off the terrible Daewoo Racer/Lemans

Got it. The rear quarters and hatch were what I recognized. I never realized the Storm was based on the Impulse, but it makes sense, given how cozy GM and Isuzu were. I always liked the "mini Camaro" styling of the Storm.

Speaking of "cozy with GM", here's a close-up of the little green badge on each front fender:
The Storm didn't get the Lotus-tuned suspension.

i dont understand how canada is the only country to get the luxury civics. Surely people all over the world would love a civic with leather seats and acura badging, no?

That's a fricking awesome truck!
I had a blue 65' Ford truck of that same bodystyle when I was around 18 years old (a long time ago). I'd willingly give one of someone else's testicles for that. :)
